As a dog trainer and dog behaviourist, I offer specialized dog training services, including tailored puppy classes and effective puppy training techniques to ensure your pet develops good behavior.

Bark & Beyond is a dog training service with a difference. We focus on strengthening the bond between pets and owners through positive reinforcement. Our belief is that creating strong, loving connections allows both dogs and their owners to understand each other better, which is key to a happy, stress-free relationship.
We offer a variety of training options, including group dog training classes, puppy classes and private puppy training sessions, and one-to-one support for behavioral modification. All our sessions are led by myself, a fully qualified dog trainer and dog behaviourist certified by APDT and ABTC, ensuring that your training experience is of the highest quality!
Bark & Beyond is fully insured, and all our staff are trained in dog first-aid.

I'm Marianne, the face behind Bark & Beyond! I have lived and worked with animals all my life, encompassing various roles from dog trainer at kennels to working with animals in zoos, therapeutic farms, and in pet training. I hold a First Class (Hons) degree in Animal Behaviour and an MSc (Merit) in Clinical Animal Behaviour. In addition, I have completed a Dog Training Diploma (with distinction) through the Centre of Excellence and am a qualified post-16 teacher. I am a full member of the APDT & ABTC training bodies, a pre-certificated Clinical Animal Behaviourist with the CCAB, and a candidate member of the Fellowship of Animal Behaviourists.
Over the last 12 years, I have witnessed the significant impact animals have on people's mental health, both through the bonds they form and the social interactions they foster. For the last 4 years, I have been training a variety of animals for therapy use, which has been incredibly rewarding, and I am eager to share my knowledge and passion with others. During this time, I've participated in research concerning dog behaviour and training methods, as many theories have evolved and improved over the years!
Since childhood, my focus has been on dogs. I was an active member of the Young Kennel Club, where I trained my pet dog in agility and heel work to music. Since then, I've taught all my pets to 'give something back', with one serving as a search and rescue dog and another as a therapy pet visiting hospices. Before I took over management of the farm, I worked as a pet sitter, offering one-on-one support to owners of pets with behavioural issues, helping them with dog training and puppy classes to address and resolve their concerns.
